Aggregate Professor of the University of Lleida (UdL) and Biotechnology project manager of the Centre for Biotechnological and Agrofood Developments (DBA-UdL). Her research is carried out in the Agricultural Biotechnology and Bioeconomy Unit. PhD in Organic Chemistry from the University of Barcelona (2005). Her research is related on the study of organic processes involved in obtaining high value-added products, both using chemical and enzymatic methods, and on the theoretical study of molecular structures and their interaction, such as proteins. Currently, she is working on the recovery of waste from the agri-food sector to produce peptones from enzymatic hydrolysates of protein waste, and on the use of eutectic solvents (DES) for the transformation of compounds present in lignocellulosic waste.
