Development of biorefinery processes and methodologies
Several byproducts will be obtained from the biorefinery: biooils, biochar and noncondensable gases. From the Biooils, several antioxidants compounds will be, subsequently, obtained . The biochar will be used to produce heat. The resulting ashes will be returned to the forest experimental areas as an external input of nutrients and minerals. In this way, the biomas cycle is closed.
