Ph.D. Architect from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC) with a "Cum Laude" distinction and an extraordinary Doctorate Award granted by UPC in 2015. Senior researcher of the Catalan Institute of Wood (INCAFUST) which is the unit of the Centre for Forest Science and Technology of Catalonia (CTFC) in charge of activities related to the use and transformation of wood and timber products in construction. Also, she works as an associate professor at the Barcelona School of Architecture ETSAB of the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) and gives visiting lectures in other specialization courses on wood construction and fire safety. Specialist in fire performance, fire safety, and fire propagation modeling. She has collaborated on different projects related to timber building elements and sustainable construction, with a particular interest in using wood products and bio-based materials. One of the main research focuses is fire reaction and hygrothermal behavior of façade components. Collaborates in the global research group Fire Safe Use of Wood (FSUW). She is co-founder and activities coordinator of LIGNOMAD, a Spanish Research network for boosting the use of wood and lignocellulosic materials in the construction sector. Currently, she participates as part of the working group dedicated to promoting the use of local wood in the construction sector in Catalonia.
